World famous detective Mr. Friend and his assistant Ike Jameson find themselves stranded at a remote mansion. A corpse welcomes them on the front porch, and within they find a strange menagerie of people. None of the living have any ties to the owner of the house, and all are stranded by the same storm that brought the detective. Mr. Friend, however, cannot help uncovering secrets, even though he has secrets all his own. Ike will do everything in his power to keep those secrets safe, no matter the cost.
